Breakout groups should focus on themes such as tectonics/basin analysis, (bio-)stratigraphy, paleoceanography, paleoclimatology, (carbonate-) sedimentology, latitudinal, and depth-transects etc. Thematic combinations/crossovers of individual groups are encouraged

During this block, breakout groups should focus their discussions on how/where the community-set scientific goals, as well as the targets and the IODP Science Plan, can be realized via ocean drilling in the larger Indian Ocean region
